Add a Link to Student Dashboard

After linking your Google Classroom and WebAssign courses, add a link to the student dashboard in the same way you add links to WebAssign activities. Students can use this link to access their purchases from the dashboard.

Prerequisites: Integrate WebAssign With Your Google Classroom Course

Note

This task is different depending on the version of Google Classroom your school uses.

To see which version your school uses, open the assignment editor and look for the Add-ons panel.

If your assignment has Add-ons, your school uses Google Workspace for Education Plus.
If your assignment does not have Add-ons, your school uses Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals/Standard.

Google Workspace for Education Plus adds links to Google Classroom assignments, while Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals/Standard adds links directly to the Classwork tab.

If needed, you can reorganize the links in Google Classroom.

Google Workspace for Education Plus

This integration method imports one link at a time. To import multiple links at once, follow the instructions for Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals/Standard.

Open the Cengage integration tool.
1. Open your Google Classroom course.
2. Open the assignment editor.
3. In Add-ons, click Cengage Classroom.
Click Select Content.
At the bottom of the list of activities, select the Cengage Student Dashboard link.
Click Continue.

Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals/Standard

To open the Cengage integration tool, click > Cengage.
Select your Google Classroom class.
1. Click a class in the Google Classroom Class dropdown list.
2. Optional: Select a Google Classroom topic.
3. Select whether to import your WebAssign assignments as drafts or immediately assign them to students.
4. Click Continue.
Click Select Content.
At the bottom of the list of activities, select the Cengage Student Dashboard link.
Click Continue.
